Rick Maccione is celebrating 30 years in business building quality custom dollhouses for customers all over the USA. I was so lucky 30 years ago to find my passion for building these beautiful miniature houses. If it was not for our daughter Courtney Paige Maccione asking me for a dollhouse this would have never happened. Thank you to our beautiful daughter Courtney.

We have a Southern Mansion just framed in our workshop. We will be in the process soon to finish the outside of this dollhouse. Then it will go on the market for sale, we would like the new owner to have the decision to select the inside color of the walls and ceilings, what trim to use and the color, select the choice of real wood flooring and how it is installed and selection of the lights in each room
Please email us at email@example.com or call our cell 203 768-3816, for more details.
This finish Southern Mansion pictured is our last finished house that was sold a few years ago. The Southern Mansion that we will be working on soon, is still in its raw unfinished wood stage, but completely framed.
Please contact Rick Maccione the builder…Layaway Plans are available while we are finishing this beautiful dollhouse for you.
Blogs. Two thirds of
my dollhouse business is now restoring antique and vintage dollhouses. Customers call and say they want their dollhouse restored for their daughter. They have a lot of value to them, because their grandfather or father built it for them. Sometimes they are only plywood shells and I have to create a vision of what I can turn it into, and that’s a lot of fun. In most cases they all like my vision and work begins. I take pictures during construction every couple of days, so that they are informed and get excited seeing the results. Right now I have four dollhouses that I’m restoring and several waiting for a workbench to open up. My subdivision is always pretty busy, meaning there is a lot of construction going on, lots of closings, and many houses on the drawing boards. Thirty years of quality custom dollhouse work and still loving it.

Blogs. I started building dollhouses in 1988, with the first one being for my daughter, which was a replica of our 10 room colonial saltbox. I was an Industrial Arts teacher, teaching woodworking, graphic arts, manufacturing, electricity and drafting. My summer jobs included working for builders, painters, manufacturing plants, stone masons, etc. Always wanting to learn new trades and always keeping busy. Getting nearer to my retirement and also owning a Real Estate coming with two partners for 12 years, with experience in selling, office manager and handling new home construction projects, I was wondering what I really wanted to do in my retirement years that I would really enjoy everyday. Well after that first dollhouse for my daughter, there was no question what I wanted to do, build, create, design, beautiful custom dollhouses for as many people as I could to enjoy. So for all these years I have been enjoying retirement and loving my work everyday, I thank our daughter Courtney for asking me to build her a dollhouse.
My web site brought in more building work this year from all over the USA. I also found a great shipper that will crate, ship and insure right to my customers door, he shipped dollhouses to all four corners of the USA and without any problems. I already have four dollhouse orders in my workshop for next Christmas. Restoring and finishing dollhouses this year has also keep me busy, with over 12 projects. Sometimes it is an old antique dollhouse or dollhouse projects that many people thought they could do or had the time to do. The end result, they all got a finished quality custom dollhouse that will be passed down for generations to enjoy. Thirty three years building quality dollhouses and still enjoying the work and my customers.
Blogs. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my friends and customers for the last 26 years building quality custom dollhouses. This has been the busiest year in 26 years, customers from all over the USA. The year is not over yet and orders are coming in already for next Christmas, some big projects are half done and some replica work is on the drawing board. This dollhouse hobby is back and alive, more young parents with children are coming back to this hobby, they want to sit down with their children, complete a dollhouse or decorate one and have some good quality time with their children. Thanks, Rick Maccione http://www.dollhousemansions.com
This dollhouse was totally destroyed when it came to my shop, the lady said her grandfather built it, but never did finish it. It was stored in the cellar over 25 years and between the cat sleeping in it and her three year old daughter pulling it apart year after year. Finally, the daughter is nine, and the mother decides, it would be wonderful if she could find someone to restore her grandfathers dollhouse, made for her, but never finished and then totally destroyed, to be completely restored, painted, and finished inside so her daughter can enjoy what she never had. It was a great project to work on and to see their expression on their face when they came to pick it up, I will never forget. It seems that more and more of these projects are coming into my dollhouse workshop. These dollhouses are part of family history and should be passed on in the family for others to enjoy.
